Here is another simple tip.
When you take your items off the backing paper from your xyron, save the paper. Then when you are glueing with a glue runner, put the backing paper under the item you are glueing. Keeps any over-run from getting on your work surface. I also save the packageing from bling, stamps etc. for the same purpose. If they are large enough you can put them under items you are spritzing with misters.

This is a hint that I have found to be very easy and handy.
to emboss foil
I love the look of embossed foil on pages and cards, but the design gets crushed and it just doesn't work well. I so scraplifted this idea from a magazine.
Before embossing the design on your foil, run an appropriate size piece of cardstock through your xyron and place the foil on the sticky side of the cardstock. Then emboss. The design will stay like you want it too.
